For a moment I imagine that I am a time traveler and I am there, centuries ago, by Michelangelo's side as he begins to turn a block of stone into a statue. It is amazing how this great artist keeps on chipping away - never giving up until a magnificent statue of David or Moses finally emerges.
Well, perhaps today I am working on my own block of stone - an idea or a dream that is slowly taking shape. And like Michelangelo, I will not give up on creating something magnificent, for God has given me the ability to create as well.
I am or may not produce a work of art. My special ability may be in creating a cheerful atmosphere wherever I am or in discovering a way to feed the world so that no one goes hungry. Or just maybe my warm embrace will turn someone's tears into a smile.

L'espace d'un instant, j'imagine que je suis un voyageur temporel et que je suis là, il y a des siècles, aux côtés de Michel-Ange alors qu'il commence à transformer un bloc de pierre en statue. Il est étonnant de voir à quel point ce grand artiste continue de s'épanouir - n'abandonnant jamais jusqu'à ce qu'une magnifique statue de David ou de Moïse émerge enfin.
Eh bien, peut-être qu'aujourd'hui je travaille sur mon propre bloc de pierre – une idée ou un rêve qui prend lentement forme. Et comme Michel-Ange, je n’abandonnerai pas l’idée de créer quelque chose de magnifique, car Dieu m’a aussi donné la capacité de créer.
Je produis ou non une œuvre d’art. Ma capacité particulière consiste peut-être à créer une atmosphère joyeuse partout où je me trouve ou à découvrir un moyen de nourrir le monde afin que personne n'ait faim. Ou peut-être que mon étreinte chaleureuse transformera les larmes de quelqu'un en sourire.
