Abstract
We live in the 21st century and I tried to analyze the main lifestyles, global challenges of the century and their solutions. Regardless of our nationality, faith, economic background and education, we should all have in mind the basic concepts of the life dynamics of this century.

The 21st century
1- Presentation
We are in the 21st century and I think it is important to define what it means to better understand how to live in harmony and respect with others and give meaning to our lives. Mathematically, 21 is equal to 20 plus 1. This means that 21 is greater than 20. In terms of timing and life cycle, this has a different meaning. It provides useful information about the type of people living in this world in the century, the challenges they face and the solutions to overcome these challenges, etc. New generation having different mentality, different lifestyle and different knowledge and skills. live on earth. The beginning of the 21st century was marked differently depending on the place. For example, the collapse of the Twin Towers on September 11, 2001 is considered the sign of the beginning of the 21st century in America and in many places. New leaders have led the world and will lead the world in this century. What are the socio-political and socio-economic challenges that comfort humanity? I will try to provide useful information and their solutions in my article.
2- Meaning
There are 197 sovereign states, over 183 major ethnic groups, approximately 238 major languages, and nearly 84 calendars in the world (Wikipedia). I focused on the Gregorian and Julian calendars to analyze the 21st century. The Gregorian calendar is the most widely used civil calendar internationally and is named after Pope Gregory XII, who introduced it in October 1582 (Wikipedia). The Julian calendar, proposed by Julius Caesar in 46 BC, was a reform of the Roman calendar in the Roman world, in most of Europe and in European colonies in the Americas and elsewhere, until it was refined and gradually replaced by the Gregorian calendar. promulgated in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII (Wikipedia). The Ethiopian calendar is like the Julian calendar and has thirteen months. We are now in 2010. One of the reasons that fascinated me and pushed me to analyze the 21st century is the fact that I am one of the global citizens who were lucky enough to live through this period. I want to live a good life and I want to be a good global citizen. It is therefore important for me to understand all the substances and elements of the world in order to better use them and better contribute to my obligations and duties.
3-Culture
There are approximately 185 major crops in the world (Wikipedia). Culture has enormous power of attraction and can easily influence people. People want to present their culture and discover other cultures. Politics, economics, lifestyle, language, education and other sectors have major interactions with culture. The nature of the future depends heavily on culture. These can positively or negatively affect the lives of global citizens. Music, theater, arts and sports are some of the elements that best describe the culture of any sovereign state or ethnic group. The new innovations of the 21st century depend greatly on it and are designed to bring change around the world. For example, in my country, Ethiopia, there are about 80 ethnic groups with their own culture. Ethiopia is considered by many people to be the cradle of humanity and most world cultures reflect Ethiopian cultures. Some might question my idea, but that's what I think. The works of great artists and cultural innovations have shaped the lives of global citizens in different ways. Both the Holy Spirit and the devil possess people who use culture. Motown and other record companies release Hip Hop, R&B, Salsa, Reggae and other music songs every time to entertain people, show the dynamics of the cultural world and to transmit socio-political messages. World leaders and politicians use this tool to win their political campaigns. People want to spend their free time enjoying precious moments with their loved ones in different cultural places such as concerts, cinemas, restaurants, hotels, stadiums and sports centers and bars. One way to create life balance is to develop our cultural knowledge. For example, major fashion brands and labels such as Calvin Klein, Gucci and others rely heavily on new research and cultural innovations.
4- Politics
How the world behaves depends heavily on politics. Once again, the Holy Spirit and the devil use politics to recruit their followers and bring about positive or negative changes respectively. We have seen many world leaders, politicians, political parties, government and international organizations since the start of the 21st century. President George Bush, President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, President Trump, Queen Elizabeth II, Chancellor Angela Merkel, Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and others are some of the world leaders we have seen and I hope we see many more. I believe that politics has a major impact on many sectors like religion, economy, culture, etc. Some people see politics as a dirty game. But I think it can also be a good game. It is a science that can be applied to harm or benefit people. Many people believe that policy is designed and shaped by the leaders of developed countries and that developing countries must implement directives imposed by the superpowers. I believe that there must be balanced political power to better lead the world. I believe that my main duty in the future will be to truly serve my God and the citizens of the world without fear of political dynamics.
5- Economy
It is very difficult to estimate global capital both in financial terms and in terms of assets. From my point of view, this can be estimated in quadrillions (Here's all the money in the world, in one graph). The world economy or world economy is expressed in different ways. To me, this shows how people access money or assets. It also indicates global financial trends. Today, many people express power in terms of their economic and financial ability to buy or sell goods. They may be right, but I use a different perspective or angle to express power. Power is the ability of people to change their lives and influence the lives of others in positive or negative ways. Of course, money will play a vital role in achieving this goal. But real power exists in the minds of people, which can have complete control over money or financial assets. The Holy Spirit can guide people to use financial capital correctly and ensure everyone's well-being. Some of the factors affecting the global economy are population growth, unemployment and migration. Many people from third world countries migrate to big cities in search of a better life and good jobs. Poverty, corruption and dictatorship also affect billions of lives around the world. The global economy is mainly controlled by a few individuals or families. I would like to see a balanced global economy and I believe that one of my tasks will be to contribute my efforts, knowledge and skills to achieve this goal.
6- Technology
Technology is the set of techniques, skills, methods and processes used in the production of goods or services or in the knowledge of techniques, processes, etc., or can be integrated into machines to allow operation without detailed knowledge of their operation (Wikipedia). New technological innovations of the 21st century such as the Internet, Apple iPhone, Androids, digital cameras, drones, Google Drives cloud, Facebook, YouTube, Skype, Tesla Model not only introduced but also changed people's lifestyle. world. Nowadays, the people of the world live almost together and information can be easily obtained. Competitions and challenges exist everywhere due to the increase in the number of elites. Selecting the best is also difficult these days due to the existence of incredible global talents. Technological products have not reached all continents at the same speed. Developed countries have enormous access to new innovations while developing countries still lack the basic needs to survive. The main objectives of the 21st century will therefore be to reduce the wealth gap.
7- Religions
The number of religions is not precisely known but is estimated at 4,300. The main ones are Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, etc. As human beings, we will encounter people of different faiths every day. Religion is also a source of conflict in certain areas. Millions of people have been killed, tortured, displaced and lost their jobs because of their faith and beliefs. Once again, the Holy Spirit and the devil use religion to control and manipulate their followers. We live in two types of world: the material world and the spiritual world. A man of God must succeed in both worlds. He must use his spiritual enlightenment to properly utilize his material blessings and bring about positive change. Many religions claim to be original, but from the credible sources I have obtained, I would say that Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Christianity is the original and ancient faith practiced by approximately 50 million people worldwide. Ethiopia is a country where there are many rock churches such as the Lalibela and Yimrehane Christos churches. The Arch of the Covenant of God is also placed at Aksum St. Mary's Church. I believe that no matter what religion we practice or even if we are atheists, we should have in mind the fundamental concepts of humanity which are “Despite the existence of differences, we must all live in peace and harmony". This is my principle of life. I try to respect all human beings in general because that is where the spirit of God is. We cannot see God. His spirit is inside people and he uses his own people to support and punish whoever he wants. The 21st century is a period leading up to the end times. Therefore, as a believer, we will see many wrong lifestyles, but we cannot change this phenomenon. Some biblical predictions have come true and others will come true. Today, gays and lesbians have the right to live like everyone else. This is why we are supposed to live in peace and harmony with them. We will find many atheists in the workplace and in some cases, they are even our family members. Our bond with this people is indestructible but we can practice our faith without any problem. Our duty as Christians should be to protect God's sheep from wolves. The 21st century is also marked by various Islamic terrorist attacks in various places around the world. What are the main reasons for this unpleasant disaster? The answer is: “At the end of time, wisdom will come out of the lowlands and into the mountains. It will burn people, the entire planet and itself.” The explanation of the statements cited above is as follows. The lowlands and the highlands represent hell and heaven respectively. Wisdom is knowledge or technology. Technology can be helpful or harmful. We must have total control over technology to save planet Earth. Nuclear weapons, cars, planes and other technological products pollute the atmosphere. This is why climate change is a major issue of the 21st century. Terrorists are products of the material world. They don't have faith but they use faith to cause major destruction in the world. In short, major battles between the material world and the world the spiritual world will take place in the century in which we live. Humanity must choose the world to which it belongs.
8- Conflicts
The war has taken place and will take place in the 21st century. The reason this disaster exists is because human beings, including me, have committed many sins and God must reduce people. War is a way to reduce the number of people living on earth. Human beings are no longer able to satisfy their basic needs. Greed and selfishness are major behaviors of many people around the world and have caused many problems in many countries. Numerous terrorist attacks have claimed the lives of innocent people across the world. The world is home to little wealth and many poor people, and we are supposed to address this economic imbalance. Hatred and godlessness reign in many governmental, non-governmental and international institutions and affect the lives of many innocent people. Famines, droughts and other natural calamities are the major unforeseen challenges facing many countries. Many social, political, religious and economic experts are predicting World War III. Many countries are strengthening their nuclear capabilities to cause major damage to humanity. In my opinion, the 21st century will be a dynamic century that will bring major global change. But nevertheless, the spirit of God protects and guides the people of God throughout the world to give meaning to life for believers and build a new generation.
9- Transition (from 20 to 21)
We saw the major public figures of the 20th century such as President Roosevelt, Queen Elizabeth II, the Rothschild family, Pope John Paul II, the Czars, Mahatma Gandhi, H.M. Haile Selassie I, Mother Theresa and others . These people have left their mark on the new generation. Some say that what we have seen in the past is what we will see in the future. Some major public figures resemble certain people who lived in the past. For example, President Putin looks like a Russian soldier from World War I. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev looks like Tsar Nicholas II. These assumptions can give an idea of life cycles. Nowadays, there are real human clones. These genetically engineered human beings have their own characters and behaviors. We have to deal with these kinds of people in the 21st century in our daily lives. A religious person must have a unique approach and thought to live and he must have a major impact on the entire human society. As stated in the introduction. The number 21 represents the annual day of the Virgin Saint Mary. Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Christians believe that this century will be a period in which the Virgin Blessed Mary will be glorified and respected throughout the world by all believers.
10- Future expectations
We are expected to see and witness many changes in the future and we should all be the main agents of change in our fields of work and in our positions. We are all part of a generation and if we are Christians, we are part of the body of Christ. Scientists work day and night to explore the universe and come up with new technological inventions. Politicians attempt to shape global society. Religious leaders encourage their followers to worship Christ and their God. In short, there is an enormous dynamic of life everywhere. We are all, in one way or another, affected by this social instability. To coexist in this changing world, we must preserve our inner spirit and contribute to the well-being of humanity. This is why I want to study religion and modernity. The subject is so vast and it affects different sectors. An expert in this field must have advanced knowledge of various sectors and he must know how to design and implement leadership strategies. Authentic and servant leadership strategies are my favorites because they include vocational, relational, and purpose-oriented approaches. God has a plan for our lives and we should all live and work for His purpose to better meet His expectations and those of our followers. Unfortunately, I expect a significant population reduction in the 21st century because of our sins. But there is nevertheless a huge chance for all of us to survive and build a new generation. Modernity is a broad sector that includes exceptional knowledge of the world's dynamic lifestyles, inventions, leadership strategies and religious concepts. Early language acquisition helps to overcome barriers that exist between people and to transmit messages. Therefore, we should all learn as many languages as possible. Our minds need rest and need to be refreshed to be creative and solve problems.
11- Calendar
The Gregorian calendar is the most used calendar in the world because world powers have used it. Other calendars are also used by many people around the world. Some people think that the Gregorian calendar is wrong. I'm part of it. I think that the Ethiopian calendar, close to the Julian calendar, is the right one. Many religious leaders in my homeland view the use of the Gregorian calendar as a sign of the end times. Regardless, we cannot change this social practice but we can research and discover the truth to better serve God and His people. I will recommend that Yale researchers complete this task in order to achieve a positive outcome that makes God and his people happy. If they have already accomplished this task, they must reveal the truth to the whole world.
12-Conclusion
A dynamic world needs intellectuals who can overcome challenges and serve their God and followers to better meet the expectations and demands of all stakeholders. Socio-economic and socio-political challenges along with the application of basic religious concepts should be the main studies of an expert in religion and modernity to actively play a vital role in shaping a society and building a new generation.
