| 1 | እንዲህም ሆነ፤ በአሥራ አንደኛው ዓመት ከወሩ በመጀመሪያው ቀን የእግዚአብሔር ቃል ወደ እኔ እንዲህ ሲል መጣ፦ | ||
| 2 | የሰው ልጅ ሆይ፥ ጢሮስ በኢየሩሳሌም ላይ፦ እሰይ፥ የአሕዛብ በር የነበረች ተሰብራለች ወደ እኔም ተመልሳለች፤ እርስዋ ፈርሳለችና እኔ እሞላለሁ ብላለችና | ||
| 3 | ስለዚህ ጌታ እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፦ ጢሮስ ሆይ፥ እነሆ፥ በአንቺ ላይ ነኝ፥ ባሕርም ሞገድዋን እንደምታወጣ እንዲሁ ብዙ አሕዛብን አወጣብሻለሁ። | ||
| 4 | የጢሮስንም ቅጥሮች ያጠፋሉ ግንቦችዋንም ያፈርሳሉ፤ ትቢያዋንም ከእርስዋ እፍቃለሁ፥ የተራቈተ ድንጋይም አደርጋታለሁ። | ||
| 5 | በባሕር ውስጥ የመረብ ማስጫ ትሆናለች እኔ ተናግሬአለሁና፥ ይላል እግዚአብሔር ለአሕዛብም ብዝበዛ ትሆናለች። | ||
| 6 | በሜዳ ያሉትም ሴቶች ልጆችዋ በሰይፍ ይገደላሉ እኔም እግዚአብሔር እንደ ሆንሁ ያውቃሉ። | ||
| 7 | ጌታ እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላልና፦ እነሆ፥ ከሰሜን የነገሥታት ንጉሥ የባቢሎንን ንጉሥ ናቡከደነፆርን ከፈረሶችና ከሰረገሎች ከፈረሰኞችም ከጉባኤና ከብዙ ሕዝብ ጋር በጢሮስ ላይ አመጣለሁ። | ||
| 8 | በሜዳ ያሉትን ሴቶች ልጆችሽን በሰይፍ ይገድላቸዋል፥ አምባም ይሠራብሻል አፈርንም ይደለድልብሻል ጋሻም ያነሣብሻል። | ||
| 9 | ማፍረሻውን በቅጥርሽ ላይ ያደርጋል፥ ግንቦችሽንም በምሳር ያፈርሳል። | ||
| 10 | ከፈረሶቹም ብዛት የተነሣ ትቢያቸው ይከድንሻል፤ ሰዎችም በተናደች ቅጥር ወደ ከተማ እንደሚገቡ እርሱ በበሮችሽ ሲገባ፥ ከፈረሰኞችና ከመንኰራኵሮች ከሰረገሎችም ድምፅ የተነሣ ቅጥርሽ ትናወጣለች። | ||
| 11 | በፈረሶቹ ኮቴ ጎዳናዎችሽን ሁሉ ይረመርማል፥ ሕዝብሽንም በሰይፍ ይገድላል፥ የብርታትሽም ሐውልት ወደ ምድር ይወድቃል። | ||
| 12 | ብልጥግናሽንም ይማርካሉ፥ ሸቀጥሽንም ይበዘብዛሉ ቅጥርሽንም ያፈርሳሉ፥ ተድላ የምታደርጊባቸውን ቤቶችሽን ያጠፋሉ ድንጋይሽንና እንጨትሽን መሬትሽንም በባሕር ውስጥ ይጥላሉ። | ||
| 13 | የዘፋኞችሽንም ብዛት ዝም አሰኛለሁ የመሰንቆሽም ድምፅ ከዚያ ወዲያ አይሰማም። | ||
| 14 | የተራቈተ ድንጋይ አደርግሻለሁ የመረብም ማስጫ ትሆኛለሽ፤ ከእንግዲህ ወዲህ አትሠሪም፤ እኔ እግዚአብሔር ተናግሬአለሁና፥ ይላል እግዚአብሔር፡፡ | ||
| 15 | ጌታ እግዚአብሔር ጢሮስን እንዲህ ይላታል፦ የተወጉት ባንቋረሩ ጊዜ፥ በውስጥሽ እልቂት በሆነ ጊዜ፥ ከውድቀትሽ ድምፅ የተነሣ ደሴቶች ይነዋወጡ የለምን? | ||
| 16 | የባሕርም አለቆች ሁሉ ከዙፋኖቻቸው ይወርዳሉ፤ መጐናጸፊያቸውን ያወጣሉ ወርቀ ዘቦ ልብሳቸውንም ያወልቃሉ፤ መንቀጥቀጥን ለብሰው በመሬት ላይ ይቀመጣሉ፥ ሁልጊዜም ይንቀጠቀጣሉ በአንቺም ይደነቃሉ። | ||
| 17 | በአንቺም ላይ ሙሾ ያሞሻሉ፥ እንዲህም ይሉሻል፦ በባሕር የተቀመጥሽ በባሕርም ውስጥ የጸናሽ፥ ከሚቀመጡብሽም ጋር በዙሪያሽ የሚኖሩትን ሁሉ ያስፈራሽ፥ የከበርሽ ከተማ ሆይ፥ እንዴት ጠፋሽ! | ||
| 18 | አሁን በውድቀትሽ ቀን ደሴቶች ይንቀጠቀጣሉ፥ በባሕርም ውስጥ ያሉ ደሴቶች ከመጥፋትሽ የተነሣ ይደነግጣሉ። | ||
| 19 | ጌታ እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላልና፦ ሰው እንደሌለባቸው ከተሞች ባድማ ከተማ ባደረግሁሽ ጊዜ፥ ቀላዩንም ባወጣሁብሽ ጊዜ ብዙ ውኆችም በከደኑሽ ጊዜ፥ | ||
| 20 | የቀድሞ ሕዝብ ወዳሉበት ወደ ጕድጓድ ከሚወርዱት ጋር አወርድሻለሁ፤ የሚኖርብሽም እንዳይገኝ ወደ ጕድጓድ ከሚወርዱ ጋር ቀድሞ በፈረሰችው ስፍራ፥ በታችኛይቱ ምድር አኖርሻለሁ፤ ጌጥሽንም በሕያዋን ምድር አላኖርም። | ||
| 21 | ለድንጋጤ አደርግሻለሁ እንግዲህም አትኖሪም፤ ትፈለጊአለሽ ለዘላለምም አትገኚም፥ ይላል ጌታ እግዚአብሔር፡፡ | ||
UNE PROPHÉTIE CONTRE TYR
1 Le onzième mois de la douzième année, le premier jour du mois, la parole du Seigneur me fut adressée :
2 « Fils d’homme, parce que Tyr a dit de Jérusalem : ‘Aha ! La porte des nations est brisée, et ses portes s'ouvrent devant moi ; maintenant qu’elle est en ruines, je vais prospérer,’
3 C'est pourquoi voici ce que dit le Souverain Seigneur : Je suis contre toi, Tyr, et j'attirerai contre toi de nombreuses nations, comme la mer soulevant ses vagues.
4 Ils détruiront les murailles de Tyr et démoliront ses tours ; Je vais gratter ses décombres et en faire un roc nu.
5 Dans la mer, elle deviendra un lieu pour étendre des filets de pêche, car j'ai parlé, déclare le Souverain Seigneur. Elle deviendra un butin pour les nations,
6 et ses colonies sur le continent seront ravagées par l'épée. Alors ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur.
7 « Car voici ce que dit le Souverain Seigneur : Du nord, je ferai venir contre Tyr Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, roi des rois, avec des chevaux et des chars, avec des cavaliers et une grande armée.
8 Il ravagera par l'épée vos colonies sur le continent ; il établira contre vous des ouvrages de siège, construira une rampe jusqu'à vos murs et élèvera contre vous ses boucliers.
9 Il dirigera les coups de ses béliers contre vos murs et démolira vos tours avec ses armes.
10 Ses chevaux seront si nombreux qu'ils te couvriront de poussière. Vos murs trembleront au bruit des chevaux de guerre, des chariots et des chars quand il entrera dans vos portes comme les hommes entrent dans une ville dont les murs ont été percés.
11 Les sabots de ses chevaux fouleront toutes vos rues ; il tuera ton peuple avec l'épée, et tes solides colonnes tomberont à terre.
12 Ils pilleront vos richesses et pilleront vos marchandises ; ils abattront vos murs, démoliront vos belles maisons et jetteront à la mer vos pierres, votre bois et vos décombres.
13 Je mettrai fin à vos chants bruyants, et la musique de vos harpes ne se fera plus entendre.
14 Je ferai de toi un rocher nu, et tu deviendras un lieu où étendre des filets de pêche. Vous ne serez jamais reconstruits, car moi, le Seigneur, j'ai parlé, déclare le Souverain Seigneur.
15 « Voici ce que dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel à Tyr : Les îles ne trembleront-elles pas au bruit de ta chute, quand les blessés gémissent et que le carnage aura lieu en toi ?
16 Alors tous les princes de la côte descendront de leurs trônes, déposeront leurs robes et ôteront leurs vêtements brodés. Habillés de terreur, ils s'assiéront par terre, tremblants à chaque instant, consternés par vous.
17 Alors ils feront une lamentation sur toi et te diront :
« ‘Comme tu es détruite, ville renommée, peuplée d’hommes de la mer !
Vous étiez une puissance sur les mers, vous et vos citoyens ; vous avez répandu votre terreur sur tous ceux qui y vivaient.
18 Or, les îles tremblent au jour de ta chute ; les îles de la mer sont terrifiées par votre effondrement.
19 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Eternel : Quand je ferai de vous une ville désolée, comme des villes qui ne sont plus habitées, et quand j'apporterai sur vous les profondeurs de l'océan et que ses vastes eaux vous couvriront,
20 alors je te ferai descendre avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse, vers les gens d'autrefois. Je te ferai habiter dans la terre en bas, comme dans des ruines antiques, avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse, et tu ne reviendras pas et ne prendras pas ta place dans le pays des vivants.
21 Je te mènerai à une fin horrible et tu ne seras plus. Vous serez cherché, mais vous ne serez plus jamais trouvé, déclare le Souverain Seigneur.
A PROPHECY AGAINST TYRE
1 In the eleventh month of the twelfth year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me:
2 “Son of man, because Tyre has said of Jerusalem, ‘Aha! The gate to the nations is broken, and its doors have swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will prosper,’
3 therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring many nations against you, like the sea casting up its waves.
4 They will destroy the walls of Tyre and pull down her towers; I will scrape away her rubble and make her a bare rock.
5 Out in the sea she will become a place to spread fishnets, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord. She will become plunder for the nations,
6 and her settlements on the mainland will be ravaged by the sword. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
7 “For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: From the north I am going to bring against Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, with horsemen and a great army.
8 He will ravage your settlements on the mainland with the sword; he will set up siege works against you, build a ramp up to your walls and raise his shields against you.
9 He will direct the blows of his battering rams against your walls and demolish your towers with his weapons.
10 His horses will be so many that they will cover you with dust. Your walls will tremble at the noise of the warhorses, wagons and chariots when he enters your gates as men enter a city whose walls have been broken through.
11 The hooves of his horses will trample all your streets; he will kill your people with the sword, and your strong pillars will fall to the ground.
12 They will plunder your wealth and loot your merchandise; they will break down your walls and demolish your fine houses and throw your stones, timber and rubble into the sea.
13 I will put an end to your noisy songs, and the music of your harps will be heard no more.
14 I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread fishnets. You will never be rebuilt, for I the Lord have spoken, declares the Sovereign Lord.
15 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says to Tyre: Will not the coastlands tremble at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan and the slaughter takes place in you?
16 Then all the princes of the coast will step down from their thrones and lay aside their robes and take off their embroidered garments. Clothed with terror, they will sit on the ground, trembling every moment, appalled at you.
17 Then they will take up a lament concerning you and say to you:
“‘How you are destroyed, city of renown, peopled by men of the sea!
You were a power on the seas, you and your citizens; you put your terror on all who lived there.
18 Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your fall; the islands in the sea are terrified at your collapse.’
19 “This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When I make you a desolate city, like cities no longer inhabited, and when I bring the ocean depths over you and its vast waters cover you,
20 then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of long ago. I will make you dwell in the earth below, as in ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, and you will not return or take your place in the land of the living.
21 I will bring you to a horrible end and you will be no more. You will be sought, but you will never again be found, declares the Sovereign Lord.”
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. - Exodus 20:12
